A tryptych of new glass and stone figures, Narcissus, Echo and Symposium feature in New Zealand's first survey show of contemporary abstraction by New Zealand Aotearoa women artists, curated by NorthART Gallery director Jessica Pearless. Delving into abstract, classical and feminist bodies and philosophies, the trio assumes a triangular compositon where ephemeral forms and embodied texts enact and dissolve the absent-presence. Emotive and enticing, they propose a reframing of Self and Other in the heady mix of mythology, mysticism, love psychologies, and AI. Presented at NorthART Gallery Auckland May–July 2024 with public programme and artist talk supported by Chartwell Trust.
