'The Kiss' wins CODAaward 2017

‘The Kiss’ has won the international 2017 CODAaward Landscape category. Judged by 22 art and design leaders, the CODAawards recognise outstanding public art projects from more than 20 countries. Awarded first place in the outdoor public art category, the 2017 Jury noted: "The Kiss project is conceptually very strong, simple and yet meaningful, poetic and political." Ethel Benjamin, 1896 the first woman barrister in New Zealand

September 21, 2016 ·  Celebrating 120 years of women in the law with New Zealand Law Society, September 2016. In 1896, NZ Parliament changed the law that prevented women lawyers. One year later the first woman barrister, Ethel Benjamin, stood centre stage on the Court steps in Dunedin NZ.
